Welcome to Space Marine Quest!
I set this blog up some months ago but never took it any further. Blogging is new to me, and I was unsure how to proceed. But its a New Year, and I think its finally time for a new start, and a new adventure.
My eldest son Dan was the one who started all this. Fascinated by tanks, he dragged us into Games Workshop one day to take a closer look at the ones displayed in the window. We left the shop, £85 quid lighter with a set of Black Reach under our arm and the starter painting kit. He's never looked back since.
But it hasn't been easy. Dan is on the Autistic Spectrum, and he has a learning difficulty too. So, learning the rules has been a slow process and we're still not there yet. He had some lessons, but all too quickly was encouraged to join a larger group - so he withdrew.
Dan is older now, so we are hoping that he will be more involved with this hobby, that he will learn the rules (with our help), and join in with others in his Space Marine Quest.

Warhammer 40K is becoming more and more of a topic of conversation in our house. We have tried to read the rules, we took a few lessons, we have painted more than a few figures. But its been a slow start, and its time to move forward.
